Thank you for visiting my very first BLOG!!!! I am so excited to share my journey. I am a military wife and mother of two that has found a passion in being able to convey the beauty of God’s work through photography.
Artist Biography:
Born April 28, 1982 in Warner Robins, Georgia, America, the photographer holds degrees in Biology and Biotechnology. With over 13 years of experience as a pharmacy technician across various settings.
In 2009, Lalita became a military spouse, navigating the challenges and opportunities that come with this role. Subsequently, in 2011, Lalita embraced motherhood, adding another layer of depth to their life experiences.
In 2020, her sister gifted her with her first DSLR camera which peaked her interest in photography. The artist then completed a photography certification through IPhotography, marking a significant step in their creative evolution. In 2022, Lalita collaborated with the Central New Jersey Ballet Theatre in which they featured the artist’s work in marketing materials such as websites, flyers, and billboards.
Noteworthy projects include photographing a promotion ceremony at the Capitol in Washington D.C. and serving as the photographer for Delaware Valley Baptist Church. Beyond these roles, the artist has delved into landscape photography, portrait photography, and the unique skill of transforming photographs to mimic striking oil paintings.
Moreover, the artist has engaged in brand photography for multiple businesses, translating their vision into captivating visual representations. This is Lalita’s second tour in the beautiful country of Korea with her first tour being Camp Casey. Now Lalita is back in Korea, enjoying rich culture, breathtaking landscapes. Seoul's hustle, peaceful temples, natural wonders are delightful. Lalita is feeling grateful for this remarkable place. At the core of their work is a profound mission statement that revolves around the belief that God placed the camera in their hands to capture the beauty of His creations.
Artist Statement:
Through my exploration of various genres of photography, I have discovered a profound passion for converting photos into impasto images that seamlessly blend the realms of photography and painting. By infusing texture into my creations, I encourage observers to ponder the authenticity of the visual narrative on display. While the prowess of painting eludes me, I have uncovered a means to articulate my creative perspective through the unique perspective of a camera lens.
